Monthly gifts are the steady beat behind every performance.
Behind every Shumka show are costs that never take a season off: artist fees, costumes, rent, and utilities and upkeep at the Shumka Dance Centre. Monthly gifts cover them, and they carry us through the quiet stretches between performances.
Our goal is 100 Shumka GEMs. 100 people giving $100 a month = $120,000 a year for Shumka.

The company: 52 dancers bringing Ukrainian dance to stages across Canada
The school: the Shumka School of Dance, training dancers from age three

GIVING LEVELS
$10 a month ($120 a year)
Impact: Covers meals for a dancer on tour for a weekend, or helps subsidize tuition for our Minis dance camp.
$25 a month ($300 a year)
Impact: Covers accommodation for two dancers on tour for a weekend.
$50 a month ($600 a year)
Impact: Helps cover costumes for a remounted production.
$100 a month ($1,200 a year) – JOIN THE 100
Impact: Covers a month of utilities at the Dance Centre, a third of the company’s transportation on tour, or a quarter of a venue rental.
$250 a month ($3,000 a year)
Impact: Supports a Seniors Can Shumka class for a full season.
$500 a month ($6,000 a year)
Impact: Covers venue rental for a full weekend of shows on the road, lead costumes for a production, or meals for the company for a weekend of touring.

Yes. Shumka issues one charitable tax receipt each year for your total monthly giving.
