Studia Shumka - Shumka | Canada's Ukrainian Shumka Dancers

Studia Shumka

Studia Shumkadancers are highly trained, highly engaged, and know how to perform while having a great time doing it. Bridging the dance gap between the multiple award-winning Shumka School of Dance and the world famous professional dance company, Shumka, these emerging young artists train over ten hours per week in Ukrainian, character dance, and RAD ballet.

Studia Shumka has a repertoire of performances and have appeared at Festivals, outdoor stages, and theatres throughout Western Canada. As is the case with development ensembles, Studia has the unique opportunity to train and rehearse with Shumka, and have appeared on stage with the group as performers during Shumka’s Mosquito’s Wedding, Shumka’s Nutcracker, UKRAINKA, and the world-famous Hopak.

Studia Shumka is under the direction of Shumka Dancer alumnist Alyssa Eugenio and instructed by Shumka Dancer alumnist Brenden Kuzma, and works closely with the artistic team at Shumka.
