I just love the artistic inspiration and the connections but I think for the audiences, it’s the bridging of the past ... of dance heritage, dance tradition, and then the creative ideas, the reinvention, the future ... that’s what you’re about ... bridging the past with the future. You reach deep into our hearts and lift our spirits.

The Ukrainian Shumka Dancers are supported annually by hundreds of individuals, organizations and corporations who value Shumka's contributions to the arts and to our community. We are honoured that our work is able to motivate such inspiring benevolence.
Shumka is proud to receive the generous financial support of our patrons and donors, as well as gifts that take many other forms including the privilege that our many honorary patrons have given us, by lending their names in support of our efforts to raise funds that help us acquire the tools to create our art.
