The Ukrainian Shumka Dancers Foundation was created in 1994 to serve in an
advisory capacity to Shumka. Guided by its primary objective to wholly support
Shumka, the Foundation Board advises the company in such areas as general administration,
financial self-sufficiency initiatives and contract negotiations, as well as
artistic and administrative strategic planning. The Foundation Board consists
of current Shumka Executive and general members, and draws on professional and
community expertise through Shumka's Alumni Association.
